Life is Easier Now

This is kind of late but I figured this is a good time. A month ago I graduated from high school and what everyone else hailed as a great achievement still pales in comparison to what I had accomplished and learned in the Spec Ops Academy. Last Monday I started my job working construction in Stamford for a company my mom also works for, and all I heard from her and my friends was that construction is HARD work and that I’ll be hurting. When I started, it couldn't have been more different. I love working in construction and I found myself comfortable, and calling the work easy. I can’t thank you enough for what you taught me over the course of that 1 week (which felt like 3). Life has become much easier and I find myself a happier person ( and more badass feeling, I love telling the stories). I haven’t felt stress or nervousness at all, and I feel that I can handle any situation regardless. I always look back on that week with the utmost appreciation for you guys. It was almost sad to leave. The first few days back home were quite weird. It was truly a life changing experience that will never leave me and I will always have memories of the great times we had at Fort Story.

Great Experience!

This is hands down the greatest experience/opportunity of my life that everybody should have a chance do to once in their life. No matter what your reason for attending you will not leave without gaining the knowladge of how far you can push yourself and what it takes to be apart of the spec war community. My thanks go out to all of the instructors who made this possible and a special thanks to instructor Jono for making this experience more realistic then I could have dreamed of. The only regret that I have is that I only took part of the SAC. If you are thinking to taking part of this great experience don't cut yourself short of the experience and go for the week long SOF Academy. Hooyah!!

Can't believe that I made it through it...

If you are looking for a challenge to push you near your physical, emotional and mental limits, this is it!

Through the very painful confrontation of cold, pain, fear, exhaustion and instructors like John O, it forced every part of my being to confront the weak little voice in my head saying “you should quit.” It’s re-defined my paltry perception of cold, tired, hungry, pain and perhaps most of all, difficult.

The only reason that I was able to make it through was because of an incredible team who through example demonstrated true teamwork and leadership. It has already encouraged me to reconsider how I work with teams in my professional setting.

A most enjoyable pain

First of all, Instructor Staff, Thank You for your service to our beloved country and for taking the time to inflict such painful fun during the SAC May 3,4.
I learned to not give up even when my knees were begging...HOOYAH to Boat Crew 2 for keeping me going.
And a wet & sandy, hearty HOOYAH to all the Instructors for being so professional.
The teamwork, sacrifice for your swim buddy and desire were extraordinary. I'm already looking forward to next year!

A Good Week

I would have never thought that a group of ten strangers could spend one week going through a hellish type of training, bleed together, laugh togther, and ultimatley come together as a fully automatic weopons system. This was the best week of my life. This camp will undoubtabley benefit anyone considering a career in spec ops. HOOYAAHHH team slit throat!

Arrive as ten! Leave as one! Don't get caught! Hoo-ya! Hoo-ya!

I want to say THANK YOU for the experience of SOF/A and SAC this past week. As a cancer survivor and former Naval Submarine Officer, making it through this week and NOT QUITTING meant more to me than you probably realize - I was crying when it was all over.

Today, I'm still tired, covered in poison oak, and generally banged up. However, I am feeling VICTORIOUS for what I did accomplish - the ability to persevere in spite of obstacles, working effectively as part of Team Slit Throat and NEVER QUITTING - this is PRICELESS.

Ultimately, the experience will make me a stronger athlete and a stronger man.

I have also developed a better appreciation for all that you do as Special Forces operatives - THANK YOU for that perspective and THANK YOU for your service to our country.

Thank you.

Best regards,

They will bust your balls!

First off, SAC Class 15 was a once in a lifetime experience. What made it so exceptional was the intensity at which the instructors ran the training. They were great at trying to get inside your head, whether it was screaming at you or quitely antagonizing you, or having you sit with a pole up your ass for ten minutes, it was a great excercise in mental toughness. And lets not forget that they physically beat the crap out of you for 24 hours as well. If anyone is looking for some authenitc and high speed training, I strongly recommend you to try this program. My two cents, put out, stay positive, look after your team, and you'll be able to laugh at the stuff you went through with your teammates the next morning.

IN BUDS

I'm in BUD/s right now finishing up indoc then entering phase right after and this program set me up for success. If your not sure if you have what it takes or you want to test your motivation this is the place to do it. i had so much fun and it really did help with indoc because i knew what was coming and it came and is still coming hard. all the instructors at this event have tons of experience and helped give me a taste of what was coming. i would suggest it to anyone who is thinking about any special forces especially SEALS. all guys are waayyyy jealous of things i got to do and it helps ease nerves as nobody knows how to handle a log and you do because of this event. in all it was a great experience and is well worth whatever you have to do to go. good luck

Awesome

A phenomenal program. Even though I’m currently in the military, I came in not really knowing what to expect. Understandably, you can read all the books, articles, testimonies, and watch all the videos you want, but you won’t know the feeling until you’re sitting in the driver’s seat. This program for me was my own “qualifying” test before I plunge head on into applying for the SEAL program. After 24 hours with some of the most remarkable instructors I have ever worked with, I now have my answer.
Out of everything I experienced over the course, what impressed me most was the quality of instructors who came out, specifically Don Mann, Stephen Erle, and Instructor Bud. Without a doubt, Don Mann is one of the most unique and awe inspiring individuals I have ever met. Even when I was up for 24 hours with continual exercise and was totally exhausted, it was such a privilege to have Instructor Mann speak to us on a variety of topics and issues. Instructor Erle was very good at “keeping it real”. I feel that he did his best to keep the evolution as strictly to BUD/S standards and difficulty that he could. Instructor Bud was a great teacher in the field, guiding and coaching us through various evolutions and helping out wherever he could. I feel that the reason I learned and enjoyed myself so much within the short 24 hour span I attended was a direct reflection of the professionalism and quality of the staff at SAC.
Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with a great group of guys. Also, a big thanks to CAPT Bisset, other instructors, and corpsman that came out to support and coach us. I hope everyone who attended had as much fun as I did.
